International Women’s Day, celebrated annually on March 8th, is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. It is an opportunity to promote gender parity across the globe and to recognise the achievements of women throughout history. For Sikhs across the world, International Women’s Day is a reminder of the legacy left by Guru Nanak Dev Ji who proclaimed the equality of men and women over 550 years ago.
