On Wednesday, 2nd October 2024, a successful Care Finder information session was held in the City of Hume area, organised by Sikh Community Connections. The session was attended by approximately 35-40 seniors from the Hume community, eager to learn more about accessing My Aged Care services.

The free session provided valuable insights into the Care Finder program, a service designed to assist seniors who may not have support at home. Attendees were guided through the process of applying for My Aged Care services, including support for cleaning, shopping, and personal care.

The event not only offered essential information but also included one-on-one guidance tailored to the specific needs of attendees. Many seniors left the session feeling more confident and informed about how to begin their applications for My Aged Care support.

The attendees appreciated the personalized assistance and the opportunity to have their questions answered in a supportive and welcoming environment. Light refreshments were also served, adding to the friendly and engaging atmosphere of the session.

This session was a testament to the importance of community-driven initiatives in empowering seniors and connecting them with vital services.
